As a child. Bishr Al-Dabagh, witnessed his father, Dr. Ahmad Al-Dabagh, an internal medicine doctor from humble Syrian roots, deeply care about his patients, emphasizing treating them naturally and holistically whenever possible. His father found a great use for black seed oil to help with patients’ inflammatory skin conditions and those with compromised skin barriers. For many years, Dr. Al-Dabagh dreamt that his son would develop a skin line emphasizing natural ingredients to complement medical treatments.
Bishr worked hard and underwent rigorous training at multiple prestigious institutions to become a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, then going into private practice. During all of this training and work, Dr. Bishr Al-Dabagh was so busy he did not fulfill his father’s dream for him and his patients. He did believe in his father’s vision and during the course of his 12 years in practice, he saw a need among his patients for natural and holistic ways to support their skin. Many patients did not know where to start and were confused by the plethora of fads, influencers, unsupported claims, and products that have flooded the market. They needed a trusted, dermatologist-created, natural brand supported by science. He knew he needed to take that next step and start to formulate products that suit his patients’ needs (and fulfil his father’s dream).
